Read2Rap Respect -Attitude- Power

This 6-8 week charecter development/literacy program encourages youth to embrace reading once again!
We have integrated literacy with Rap/Hip Hop.
Students are encouraged to read, research, and write about their feelings.
Rap music is the avenue for our youth to express their work.
Emphasis is placed on research, team work. and participation.
The focus of this program is to assist our youth in developing leadership skills through team work. Youth are encouraged to express their feelings, through Rap/Hip Hop.
Topics such as anti-bullying, conflict resolution, or any other community issue affecting our youth
We have partnered with several of Toronto’s top Hip Hop Artists to provide the youth with guidance and support.




Goals of the program
· Encourage youth to enjoy reading!!!!
· Develop new and existing strengths and talents of our youth.
· Provide a new platform for youth to present their feelings.
· Teach youth about "Self" and "Self Respect", Body Image and being “Themselves”
· Encourage older youth to mentor and assist children
· Increase their ability to research using different methods.
